Open Mic Night by Standup Standapovych
July 26, 6:30 PM – Open Door, 7:00 PM – Start
About event. Ukrainians who have arrived in Calgary over the past two years have various talents, some of which include entertaining audiences with humor and writing funny jokes. You can test the level of Ukrainian humor at this open mic night. There will be six or seven comedians on stage, some regular performers, and some performing for the second time. Note that novice comedians test their material during these performances, so don't throw tomatoes if a joke doesn't land.
If you consider yourself the life of the party and enjoy entertaining an audience, you can participate in the open mic. You'll need enough jokes to last five minutes on stage and to pass an audition held on July 23. Sign up for the audition at surl.li/dmajds. Good luck!
